Château Mouton Rothschild Aile D'Argent

Wine Description

(1995 Vintage) Toasted oak, citrus and almond in the bouquet. Same in the mouth. Very mild and complex. Impressive the wine is still so fresh. Long finish.

a great surprise from Rock and Jean. Sweet aromas of aged cedar, bing cherries, and a touch of spicy vanilla oak made a lasting impression on the nose. Ripe (yet subtle) black currant flavors that stretched out with good length and depth. Throw into the mix some olive flavors as well as a skillful use of new oak and we are in business. Tannins have fully integrated but provide a nice balance with the lush fruit. This has really held together well for a 10 year old $35 Napa Cab, and a real treat at the table last night
