(From 2010 Vintage) Well, here we are, I have been sipping and savoring Silver Oak Cabernets since the mid-1970's. My notebooks tell me that I have tasted almost every vintage. The '10 Alexander Valley is pretty fine and shows just how far this iconic winery has come. This is a complete wine- ripe red currants, sweet American oak and supple tannins.
(From «nv» Vintage) Captures the very best qualities of this variety, with its hints of bell pepper and spice aromas. This wine is full-flavored and hearty yet soft on the palate with a smooth, long finish.
Tasted by Zed57 on 2/28/2012: A well aged California cab. A distinctive nose that is intriguing. Bold herbaceous flavours that are classic silver oak with cedar and dill. May not be everyone's taste but I loved it. It has peaked. Don't wait. Wish I had more but alas this is the last.
