    (1995 Vintage) Smelling of an older cuvee than it registers on the label, this bottling is just loaded with baked biscuit yeast notes with glimmers of minerals, dusty earth and a slight burnt paper edge. It is rounded and frothy on the palate with great continuity in its bake shop, biscuity character, and the slight chalk edge in the finish is but a minor annoyance.

This is both very '95 in a positive sense and very Pol Roger. Fat and round in the mouth, with extravagant flavors of buttered toast, ripe orange and poached pear, complemented by subtle notes of cinnamon and mace.
