The 1996 harvest came very early, and the Cabernet crop was very small, which resulted in deep rich flavors in the fruit, and thus the wine. As usual, they blended Cabernet Franc and Merlot into this Cabernet Sauvignon. These grapes add a breadth and complexity to the final wine while their similarity to Cabernet Sauvignon maintains a consistent and harmonious character. Over time, these wines continue to round, and to unveil new layers of interest and complexity. With a light decanting the future is visible in tasting this wine.
