This is textbook California Cabernet Sauvignon, with ripe black cherry and cassis flavors, and hints of chaparral, cedar, toast, brown-sugar spice and earthy minerality. The tannins are substantial yet smooth in this medium-full-bodied, herb-inflected wine.
Wine Buyer(2005 Vintage) This dark and intense wine opens with concentrated aromas of red currant fruit that mingle with cocoa powder, and an earthy chaparral character that speaks of its volcanic mountain origin. Flavors of red currant, dark chocolate, and walnuts are entwined with restrained tannins that give way to a long vanilla oak finish. January 2009
