Wine Description

(From 2000 Vintage) Rich steady color. The intense nose is marked by notes of cedar and vanilla which balance perfectly, a powerful and clean fruitiness. The palate is characterized by tannins of great distinction; carried by a beautiful freshness to its elegant finale. A great success, for this outstanding vintage year.

Winemaker's Notes

Explosive, superripe aromas of black raspberry, lead pencil and sweet oak. Velvety-sweet and pungently oaky in the mouth, with a firm supporting spine of acidity giving the wine a vibrant, sappy quality. Finishes very long, with substantial but lush tannins. Potentially the finest vintage yet from this estate.
