A bottle from my cellar was close to full maturity, exhibiting plenty of amber to its dense ruby/garnet color in addition to abundant sweet black cherry fruit, smoky, mineral, earth, and dried herb aromas. Wine Spectator(From 2000 Vintage) "Aromas of barley, crushed berry and olives turn to flowers and blackberries. Full-bodied, with smooth and succulent tannins and a long berry, vanilla aftertaste. Fantastic. Lovely Trot here. Best after 2010. (JS)"
