(From 2006 Vintage) The 2006 vintage blends in small amounts of Merlot, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc, whch give the wine added complexity aromatically and structurally. The bouquet spills out of the glass with licorice, briar fruit and vanilla aromas, with subtler tones of honey, roasted nuts and cocoa powder. Full-throttle briar fruit on the palate is complemented by flavors of cinnamon and toast, dried currants and cherries, with cedary spice on the finish.
(From 2003 Vintage) Frank Family Vineyard’s Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon exposes its depth immediately with its dense dark purple color. The aromas are bountiful, brimming with juicy brambleberries and ripe black cherries that are laced with notes of smoke and roasted espresso and followed by hints of tobacco, earth and cedar. The palate is opulent and intense, bursting with ripe blackberries and currants, with just a touch of sage. The rich fruit is balanced with complex tannins providing a plush, yet firm mouthfeel that is round and supple with lasting depth.
