(1982 Vintage) Rating: 96/100 - As reviewed by International Wine Cellar in Issue 103, July/August 2002 ($329-$450) Good medium amber-edge red. Flamboyant aromas of smoked meat, leather, truffle and burnished oak. Intensely flavored and penetrating, with strong acids giving the flavors terrific cut and grip. (2002 Vintage) Full, bright ruby-red. Spicy, fresh aroma of black raspberry, with a hint of smoked meat. Dense and fine-grained, with enticing, nicely delineated flavors of black raspberry, minerals and sweet tobacco. Distinctly dark fruit in character, with lively framing acidity. Finishes firmly tannic and persistent. As always, this will be one of Bordeaux's best second wines.
