1993 Argiolas Turriga Isola dei Nuraghi IGT

Winemaker's Notes

Deep golden color typical of sweet wines made from grapes that have been overripened by the sun. The bouquet is rich and intensely reminiscent of peaches and apricots. Rich and full bodied with savory flavors that recall the sweet perfume. Recommended on its own or with light desserts.

  • Antonio Galloni
(From 2003 Vintage) "The estate's 2003 Turriga is a more linear, structured wine than the Korem. A bold, racy wine, it reveals sweeping elegance in its focused black fruit, bacon fat and wild herb flavors. This gorgeously pure Sardinian red will benefit from another year or two in bottle after which it should drink beautifully for at least another decade. Turriga is a single-vineyard blend of 85% Cannonau and 15% Malvasia Nera, Carignano and Bovale Sardo. Anticipated maturity: 2009-2018."
