(From 2013 Vintage) Our Pinot Noirs personality comes from our two Acacia estate vineyards in the windswept Los Carneros American Viticultural Area (AVA): the picturesque Lone Tree Vineyard, on the rolling hills surrounding the winery, and Winery Lake Vineyard, just a couple of miles away. The widely diverse clones and soils found in these vineyards contribute layers of flavors and texture to our Pinot Noir. Bright, balanced acidity is retained in the grapes by the cool marine winds.
Connoisseurs' Guide to California WinesHere is a wine whose extended aging has resulted in a dry, tired, slightly oxidized drink that is clearly past its prime. Its bubbles are faint and it is undercut by undisguised sourness throughout. This is one best left on the shelf.
