1991 Louis Latour Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru

Wine Description

(From 2004 Vintage) Discreet if not invisible wood pairs with elegant and refined green apple, spice and slightly exotic fruit aromas and round, intense and moderately austere full-bodied flavors that are supple yet pack plenty of muscle and punch on the powerfully long finish.

Winemaker's Notes

(From 2006 Vintage) This Grand Cru wine has a citrus bouquet with a rich tropical fruit character. It is intensely powerful and fills the mouth with a multiplicity of flavours ending in a fine, steely finish which lingers on the palate for minutes. This wine needs 4 to 5 years to open up and can age for up to 20 years. An ample and powerful nose. The mouth offers a rich palet of aromas: fresh almond, honey and melted vanilla. The wine is very well-structured. It is already harmonious but be patient if you want to fully enjoy it: it needs a few more years to reach its peak and to fully express its complexity.
