WINEMAKER'S NOTE
Each year, the deepest and most ageworthy lots are blended to become Laurel Glen. Fermentation is in open top fermenters with hand punching of the cap, gentle handling emphasizing gravity flow, and 22 months' ageing in mostly new Nevers oak barrels. Production ranges from 400 to 2400 six-packs, depending on the quality of the vintage. Laurel Glen is renowned for its ability to develop complexity over time, and (unlike many California cabernets) may give the greatest pleasure after 5 - 10 years of cellaring.
