(From 2013 Vintage) Bright forward aromas of guava and tropical fruit are complemented by subtle hints of orange blossom and sweet vanilla. The palate is full bodied and lush with notes of pineapple, mandarin and lemon rind that integrate wonderfully with natural acidity and subtle oak.

Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wines(From 2004 Vintage) Clean, moderately fruity and of middling depth in its green apple and roasted vanilla bean aromas, this wine is surprisingly quiet in the mouth and never fully delivers on the mild but evident fruit suggestions of the nose. It is reasonably well-balanced but does allow its acidity to stick out a bit too much in the firm, crisp and bitter-edged, woody finish.
Wine Enthusiast(From 1998 Vintage)
Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wines(From 2006 Vintage) Simply awash in rich oak, but never anything less than deep and long on juicy, apple-like fruit, this full-bodied and wonderfully flavorful Chardonnay is immensely fruity and genuinely layered at one and the same time. Surprisingly complex considering its relative youth, it is accessible now and comes without need of further time in the bottle, but it is exceptionally well-balanced for the big wine that it is, and it is in no danger of fading away anytime soon.
Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wines(From 2007 Vintage) Idiosyncratic smells of pineapple and sweet coconut direct this one on a path all its own, and, although fairly ripe and fleshy in feel, the wine never quite keys of classic Chardonnay fruit in its slightly juicy, vaguely tropical flavors. It is oddly confected to be sure, but it should find success as a foil to the likes of sweetly sauced chicken.
