Penfolds Grange Hermitage Bin 95 Australia

Wine Details

Wine Description

(1999 Vintage) Milky, sweet, coffeed, really notice the oak coming through on these younger vintages. Acids and tannins not yet integrated – but there is a hell of a lot to be impressed by here. Lovely power, lovely softness, lovely hit of savouriness, and then significant length.

enjoyed with Maxim and Aija at moyston st with a great rib fillet steak and roast veggies. a soft purple colour, still quite intense, a wonderful bouquet alive with fruit, delicious, full bodied with fine supporting tannins, smooth to the finish, a wonderfully complex and beautifully structured wine. wine was a gift for dad for doing a talk to some gps in 1996. kept in his study and then the last 18 months in his penfolds wine fridge.
