Wine Description

(From 2001 Vintage) Golden yellow. Butterscotch and vanilla, with hints of ripe apples. Full-bodied, with lots of sweetness and a spicy apricot and honey aftertaste. Excellent concentration and balance. Loads of botrytis character on the finish. Intense.

Winemaker's Notes

(From 2006 Vintage) Pale orange-gold. Vibrant aromas of tangerine, pineapple, coconut and brown spices, with a slightly roasted botrytis character. Concentrated and lightly saline, with bright, firm acidity giving a penetrating quality to the pineapple and spice flavors. Offers an exhilarating sugar/acid balance and finishes with lovely lingering spicy perfume. Still a bit youthfully rigid: I'd give this a few years to harmonize.
