(2013 Vintage) " Here the cool and restrained nose trades elegance for complexity with its overtly sauvage aromas of ripe dark berry, smoked meat and humus. There is outstanding volume to the full-bodied and very rich medium-bodied flavors that possess good power on the focused, intense and palate coating finish. I very much like the persistence and overall balance though I underscore that unlike several of the prior wines that should be approachable young, by contrast this will require at least 6 to 8 years of cellaring first."

(2014 Vintage) "The 2014 Gevrey Chambertin 1er Cru les Corbeaux has a refined and pure bouquet not unlike the Evocelles -- a true evocation of Pinot Noir -- pure, brilliant defined, elegant and effortless. The palate is showing a little more hand of the new oak than the Evocelles, although that will be integrated with time. Good body here, fine tannin and great length, and the tenderness on the finish is spellbinding. Load up as much as you can and remember to invite me when you pop one open." -Neal Martin

(2013 Vintage) "Cool and bracing, the 2013 Gevrey-Chambertin Les Corbeaux boasts notable precision throughout. Today, the Corbeaux comes across as a bit austere next to some of the other wines in the range, which is not surprising for a cool site in a late-ripening vintage, but it does mean readers will have to be patient. Suggestions of sweet tobacco, cedar, mint and leather add the final shades of nuance."

(2006 Vintage) Rating: 4/5 - As reviewed by Decanter. Remarkably concentrated and stylish for a village wine, with a sweet, intense raspberry nose. Bright, fresh, spicy and vigourous. Drink 2008-16.
