Wine & Spirits(From 2006 Vintage) This blend appears to be very concentrated. It has a deep ruby/garnet core with a lighter, purple outer rim. It has an open nose, full of figs and cassis, oak, vanilla extract and chalk. This is a full body wine with firm tannins, balanced acid and a nice long finish. Pair this wine with a confit of salted duck leg, garlic and shallots, wilted mustard greens and warm German potato salad. The plate might sound a little abstract but the pair will do the trick.
