Jordan Winery Cabernet Sauvignon

Wine Description

(1984 Vintage) The Jordan Cabernet Sauvignon has gained a remarkable reputation as an elegant wine possessing great balance of fruit, body and bouquet. The 1984 Jordan Cabernet exemplifies continuity of style. Our maturing estate vineyards located on the floor of the Alexander Valley contribute enormously to our fine Bordeaux-style wine. The elegance and delicate structure that have become Jordan's trademarks are enhanced in this vintage by blending approximately twelve percent Merlot with the Cabernet Sauvignon.

(2012 Vintage) Seamless with medium body and attractive aromas of mocha, black currant, spice and sweet herb. The palate is focused with black currant, blueberry and fine, grainy texture.

(2000 Vintage) The fleeting hints of citrus and green apples in this one come and go all too quickly, and, in the absence of any semblance of varietal fruitiness and identifiable richness, the wine turns thin and slightly coarse as it crosses the palate and empties out into a forgettable finish.
