(From 2011 Vintage) More structured, rich and layered, the 2011 Chateauneuf-du-Pape is a beauty. Loaded with dark cherry, leather, mineral, licorice and roasted herbs, this medium-bodied, seamless and nicely concentrated 2011 has a great texture, solid mid-palate depth and sweet tannin.
(From 2010 Vintage) Dark ruby. Black raspberry and cherry compote on the pungent, intensely perfumed nose. Sappy, palate-staining red and dark berry flavors are impressively deep and braced by tangy acidity. Becomes weightier with aeration, which also brings out a licorice quality. Rich but suave and energetic, with excellent finishing clarity and length.
