Expert Reviews
  • Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wines
(From 2005 Vintage) As usual, picking a favorite among the Diamond Creek trio is a nigh impossible task, and, if there are arguments to be made for that structured Volcanic Hill, this equally rich and impressively filled wine earns high praise as well for its striking combination of richness and grace. Deep and composed with a perfectly balanced mix of ripeness, cassis and sweet oak, it may get to its best a few years ahead of its mate, but its future is no less exciting and bright.
