Wine Description

(From 1998 Vintage) The wine is wonderful, with an appealing aroma of ripe, juicy, boysenberries and plums. There is also a subtle note of spice and oak that adds extra intrigue. Overall this is deftly balanced 100% varietal Cabernet Sauvignon, from a cross section of Heitz Wine Cellars vineyards. The end result is a harmonious complex Cabernet that is polished and pleasing.

(From 1998 Vintage) Like its siblings, the Heitz Napa Valley bottling is 100 percent Cabernet Sauvignon. In earlier vintages it has been blended from grapes purchased from two or more vineyards. Henceforth, it will come from Heitz Vineyards located in Rutherford, augmented occasionally by an addition from "Martha's Vineyard," "Bella Oaks Vineyard," or both, depending on the vintage.
