(From 2008 Vintage) A dark plum/ruby/purple-tinged color is followed by a sexy, up-front perfume of forest floor, damp earth, blue and red fruits and a touch of spicy oak. Lush with low acidity and sweet tannin.
(From 2010 Vintage) Very well extracted ripe fruit, shows the ripeness and structure of 2010 and fine ripe tannins for the future.

Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wines(From 2006 Vintage) 50% Merlot; 45% Cabernet Sauvignon; 5% Petit Verdot. A touch sweeter in scent owing to both obvious ripeness and an extra measure of rich oak, Lascombes intimates a sense of juiciness that separates it from its classmates in 2006. It is a touch dry at the finish, and its relatively fine-gained tannins afford it room to grow without adding prohibitive toughness.
