Château Lafite Rothschild Pauillac 1er Grand Cru Classé

Wine Details

Wine Description

(From 2013 Vintage) In the mouth the wine shows a gigantic size. The taste attracts attention by the tempting fruit flavors. Going from red berries and black fruits to soft herbs and reglisse. It is elegant and complex at the same time. The flavors constantly grow in strength through the intense concentration. The aftertaste remains lush and has a great abundance of fine fruit flavors.

Winemaker's Notes

(From 2012 Vintage) The nose is closed at first, then the fruit is expressed, with a slightly dominant woodiness. On the palate, the texture is tight and dense. Then the heart of the wine comes through, with solid, compact balance. Very dense finish, and yet the tannins are “almost light and airy”! Great length with long, lingering flavours.
