(From 2008 Vintage) Open fruit, rich, lush and layered, serving up a complex mix of plum, blackberry, black licorice and spices. Full-bodied and supple-textured, ending with a long, persistent finish that keeps repeating the core flavor themes.
(From 2003 Vintage) The 2003 Cabernet Sauvignon Special Selection offers up scents of licorice, black currants, spice box, and a hint of flowers. This deep, full-bodied, chunky 2003 should last for 13-15 years. Intense, complex and concentrated, with a vibrant stack of flavors built around currant, blackberry and wild berry, with pretty oak nuances on the finish, along with ripe, firm tannins. Excellent sample.

Wine Spectator(From 2006 Vintage) "Full-blown, ripe and rich, with intense and sharply focused dried currant, wild berry and blackberry fruit that's still fairly tannic at this stage. Ends with a long, persistent finish. Best from 2010 through 2015. 33,900 cases made. - JL"
