Wine Description

(From 2007 Vintage) A rich, fine, dark fruit compote nose leads to a wonderfully fresh, refined palate with delicate yet intense cassis, plum and cedar-box flavours caressing the tastebuds on their way to an exquisite finish.

Winemaker's Notes

(From 2004 Vintage) On the nose, the wine is closed and then opens up slowly. Fruity, slightly roasted notes. On the palate, the attack is generous, the wine then evolves a full-bodied balance, with richness and great elegance. A very long, smooth, silky finish.

(From 2002 Vintage) "A brilliant offering and a candidate for wine of the vintage, this is classic Lafite that reminded me somewhat of the 1976, although the vintage conditions were completely different. This is a medium-weight, quintessentially elegant style of Lafite with notes of lead pencil shavings/graphite along with black currants, plums, and crushed rocks/mineral. Wonderfully pure, dense, with a deep ruby/purple color and loads of fruit, definition, and a long finish, this is a brilliant, elegant Lafite Roth...
