(From 2011 Vintage) The history and evolution of a vineyard through inheritance, purchase , land consolidation , may eventually involve several AOC in one operation . Chasse-Spleen saw the day before the birth of the concept of AOC , some of the plots that have made today find themselves under different names . Today we have a dozen hectares under AOC Haut-Médoc . The INAO recognizes the concept of prioritization of Médoc AOC . This means that any wine produced in Haut-Médoc and communal appellations ( Saint-Estèphe AOC , Pauillac saintjulien , Moulis , Margaux ) is, above all , a Haut-Médoc - but the reverse is not true . Only can claim communal AOC plots produced exclusively on these designations defined areas.
