1933 Chateau Montrose St. Estephe

Winemaker's Notes

(From 1995 Vintage) Good depth of color and a tight and compact nose of dark black fruits and eucalyptus. Very generous fruit on the palate accompanied by fine, ripe tannins. A very good finish.

  • Decanter
(From 1989 Vintage) Rating: 4/5 - As reviewed by Decanter. Divine, complex and wonderful nose of damson and tobacco, with a hint of leather and tar. Soft, spicy blackcurrant and damson fruit on the palate, with wonderful extract, firm tannins and good acidity. Real breeding here!
