N.V. Pierre Gimonnet Champagne Brut Blanc de Blancs Cuis 1er Cru (France, Champagne) 11/27/2008 Kdawg 91
disgorged 1/06

nose: bright and fresh with almonds, yeast, pears, toast, and some citrus peels. A really great and pungent nose that is just fills up the nostrils but works in great harmony

taste: great feel with bread, almonds, mango, pears, citrus peels, and bits of almond shavings. Well defined with really good citrus flavors on the palate that move across well

overall: I love gimonnet, let me just sayt that right now. Consistently they just give off delicious flavors that are so succulent and layered with a wonderful citrus backdrop to normal champagne tones. Great effervescant feel with a smooth bread and toast based attack with a long citrusy finish (829 views)
