Wine.comA rose champagne for the serious champagne lover. The color is salmon pink, tending toward cherry. A generous, assertive bouquet redolent of small red fruit, with just a hint of spiciness, progresses into a dry, elegant flavor that is fresh and lively, delicate and yet intense. A rose champagne with immense personality.

International Wine CellarLight, bright, orange-tinged pink. Musky red berry and cherry skin scents are complicated by anise, herbs and smoky lees. Rich, fleshy red fruit flavors are given a bitter edge by a note of orange zest and pick up toast and smoke notes on the back end. Gains sweetness with air and finishes with very good persistence and an echo of red fruit. There seems to be a good amount of reserve wine in this year's blend.

Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wines58% Chardonnay; 34% Pinot Noir; 8% still Pinot Noir. Here is a Rose that is at once both fairly fruity and long on the rich and toasty contributions of autolyzed yeast. It hints at a bit of aged complexity in both scent and taste, and, while it drifts to acidy tartness on the latter palate, its ample flavors show very good length. If bright and lively, it has reached its absolute peak, and it needs nothing in the way of additional age.

Fellow Drync'rIntense salmon pink. Rather full on the palate. Nose of strawberry and roses. Good lingering finish. Will try again.
