19% Merlot. Far and away the preferred bottling over its lesser mates below, Martini's Napa Valley version is a medium-deep, well-defined Cabernet that presents attractive cherry and cassis themes with a helpful dollop of creamy oak. Its nicely measured tannins will support a bit of time in the cellar, and three or four years of age will find it at its peak.
