    Some say a certain movie created the ldquo;Pinot Noir Shortage.rdquo; Others point to global warming (for everything). Consequently, many producers have begun to source Pinot Noir from Corsica to Moldova, thinking you wonrsquo;t notice the difference. But there continues to be something special about California Pinot that canrsquo;t be recreated in a lab or some far-flung country better known for car chase scenes in a Bourne movie. This is one of very, very few Pinot Noirs under $15 that is worth drinking. Ripe Bing cherries, a touch of spice, smooth, velvety mouthfeel, and a long, haunting read more...finish mdash; this is why people spend $30 on Pinot, but you donrsquo;t have to mdash; at least for now.    (hide)
