User Tasting Note
gpthorpe2009 Cameron Hughes Malbec Lot 180 Last edited on 9/25/2010 by nmachen This is the only version of this article / View version history Taste: Dark garnet in the glass; on the nose, aromas of blackberries, blueberries, and raspberries are backed by nuances of earth and forest floor. Ripe cherries shine through; subtle cassis notes and oak. On the palate, this wine presents velvety tannins and framing acidity. Dense fruit and a great mouthfeel give this wine a tremendous finish, long and supple. Cameron Confidential: This Malbec comes from one of our winery partners down in Argentina with whom we have done business before. Obviously,we've been very pleased with their wines. One would see this Malbec available maybe down in the southern hemisphere; however, we are the only ones that carry this particular wine in the States. It has this wonderful, thick purple color that I love to see in Malbec. Super approachable with dense fruit, this wine is one heck of a buy.
