MickAroma: licorice, ashes Palate, alcohol and tannins were noticeable; took 10 minutes to smooth out. Then coffee , cocoa, and cherry cream flavors took over. Very nice wine to have around. It has malbec, cabernet sauvignon, syrah and tannat. Very good value, it has a timid yet interesting nose with cherries, black fruit, some floral aromas, white pepper and minerals. On mouth the wine is smooth and silky, a bit acidic, with a fruity palate that continues showing cherries along with minerals and tobacco. Considering I'm not a malbec fan, I found this wine to be quite a pleasant surprise. The addition of cabernet and syrah to the malbec make this wine much more enjoyable, in my opinion, than simply malbec alone. Dark red wine with a nose of spice and fruit. The palate is of cherries, tobacco and has a pleasantly long smooth finish. 6,000-8,000 feet. Extremely aromatic, especially for Malbec. Crazy amazing nose, very floral flavors, very fresh but yet still full bodied. Structured across the palate, beautiful wine, great finish. Figs and dried tobacco on the nose. Lots of dark fruit and a bit of white pepper. Tannins are prominent but smooth. A consistently great wine at a bargain price. Dark ruby. Malbec fruit in its purest expression on the nose, with syrah adding additional spicyness. Mid-bodied with freshness, soft tanins, nice fruit and balancing acidity. Medium finish. Very good for what it is. Excellent value. Ripe red berry, floral, hibiscus nose; tart currant, hibiscus, red berry palate; medium finish (75% Malbec, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Syrah, 5% Tannat) I dont like Malbec usually. This is a blend but it is essentially an Argentinian Malbec - two words that used to scare me (in a wine sense!). However, this is lovely. Everything about this wine screams Southern Rhone. There is a strong, heady, nose of cherry and plums with a little white pepper. The palate is round and spicy with a good hit of alcohol. Full of fruit and way, way better than expected.
