Not yet reviewed; 2007 vintage rated 91 points by California Grapevine: Medium-light golden yellow color; attractive, refined, floral, honeyed, poached pear and tropical fruit aroma with hints of jasmine and botrytis; full body; big, forward, rich, plush, ripe tropical fruit flavors with a luxurious, creamy mouthfeel; lingering aftertaste. Very enjoyable to drink now. Very highly recommended. 14.5% alcohol. 100% barrel fermented; 40% malolactic fermentation.

Wine & SpiritsOnce again the 2007 Mer Soleil does not disappoint. Lemon cream pie with a graham cracker crust slides around on the palate in a creamy richness that coats all the way to the long, lingering finish. Aged in French oak, this Chardonnay from Chuck Wagner is drinking great now and will continue to do so for the next 6-8 years. Drink this wine with grilled swordfish with lemon.
