This co-operative has been making its own barriques for over sixty years, which enables it to give its wines the high quality oak maturation associated with the more expensive wines of Bordeaux. The use of Merlot to produce softer, more approachable wines is increasing as the modern consumer demands more supple, younger-drinking wines.</p><p><strong>Arnold Palmer 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon</strong><br />The 2009 Arnold Palmer Cabernet Sauvignon has aromas of plump dark plums and cherries. The flavors of the wine hint of mint while filling the mouth with raspberry candy, dark chocolate, and espresso. The finish has elements of dark fruit, integrated with an elegant tannin structure.</p><p><strong>Maison 2545 2008 Roussanne, Vin de Pays d&#39;Oc</strong><br />Wines like this are what you&#39;re likely to see in any simple neighborhood wine shop in Paris. Food-friendly, and a real steal too!</p><p><strong>Grass Tree 2009 South Eastern Australia Chardonnay</strong><br />Aromas of tropical fruits. Citrus blossom with a hint of lifted vanilla. Palate displays soft fruit flavors of melon and tropical fruits with a crisp citrus finish and generous length.</p><p><strong>Maison 2545 2009 Roussanne, Vin de Pays d&#39;Oc</strong><br />Roussanne is a fragrant white grape found predominantly in the northern Rh&ocirc;ne but also in the top estates of the South.
