These berry notes intermingle with darker, more earth-driven notes of bay leaf, oak leaf, cedar bark, and a touch of chocolate. On the palate, the entry shows a combination of warm raspberries and a hint of sage/tarragon. The texture at entry is broad, soft and warm, and the mouthfeel at the mid-palate stays consistently broad. Although the flavors present themselves boldly, the wine weight and texture show elegance and balance. The finish of the palate echoes the fruit essences so beautifully displayed in the aromas, with the bright, focused sweet red fruit flavors lingering as the other wine flavors slowly fade.
