Pale, bright yellow. Pungent aromas of lime, green apple, quinine and tarragon. Almost silky on entry, then quite taut, even austere, in the middle, showing a mineral pungency to its grapefruit pith, lemon zest and fresh herb flavors. Dry and bracing but not quite hard. Finishes with good aromatic lift and persistence. Still, this rather uncompromising wine is almost painful today and could use another six months of patience.
