Connoisseurs' Guide to California WinesIncredibly well-defined, harmonious aromas redolent of ripe red cherries, sweet strawberries, seductive oak smelling of toast and creme brulee lead to a surprisingly supple, almost velvety texture that would seem to belie the wine's tender years. It is endowed with ample fruit in its deep, rich flavors, and if a touch simple at this writing, the wine has everything in place for further develop -ment and promises to get better and better over the next three to six years with quiet cellaring.
