Wine.comThe 2004 Pinot Noir Emery is a powerful wine, dark in color and with intense aromas of blackcurrant, black cherry, blackberry and vanilla, which leap out of the glass. The wine combines elegance, wildness, ripe and rich fruit with complex layers and hints of cardamom and spices. The mouth feel is very round and fat. The tannins are pronounced by very silky, lingering ont he finish for a long time. The young vines produced a wine with power and silkiness of a great pinot noir, together with elements of untamed wildness. The wine can be enjoyed now, but will age gracefully for the next 5-10 years. It can be paired with venison, roasted lamb, grilled tuna or mahi-mahi and hearty vegetarian fares.
