Stephen Tanzer's International Wine CellarBright ruby-red. Varietally expressive nose offers black cherry, blackberry, leather, bitter chocolate, coffee and a hint of sandalwood. A sweet, fresh midweight, not yet complex but offering good stuffing and backbone. Perhaps a bit youthfully sullen but serious for the price range. Harmonious already but I'd hold this for a year before popping the cork. Finishes with broad, dusty tannins. Very nicely made.
