Good dark ruby-red. Musky aromas of dark berries, mocha and coffee. Broader and fatter than the cabernet but less sweet and less vibrant. In a more earthbound, chunky style. This is still a bit youthfully tight but I'd be more optimistic about this wine's future if it showed more high notes today. Finishes with toothdusting tannins. The 2005 was similarly quite closed at an early stage.
