Connoisseurs' Guide to California WinesSomewhat high in toasty, woodsy notes but nicely fruity behind those first impressions, the aromas of this fairly full-bodied wine fend off a hint of greens and keep fruit at the front of the line. Supple and showing a bit of Pinot Noir velvet, this one crosses the palate comfortably and finds enough well-integrated acidity at the back to finish with both polish and a nice bit of energy. It needs no cellaring-so enjoy.

wineandjoyFocus on bright red fruit. A little too much candy-flavored to be pleasant after the first glass.
