WINEMAKER'S NOTE
The 1981 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon has a ruby to brick-red color. It possesses a nose of blackberry, olives, hazelnut and dill. This wine has a medium body with a long, smooth finish. This wine is starting to peak and would be best enjoyed now. Due to limited supply in our library this wine was last tasted June 2006. May need decanting due to light sediment.

  • Description

Our 2007 Silver Oak Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon combines elegance and depth in a balanced expression of this classic California vintage. It has a dark ruby color with a garnet edge and a complex nose of sandalwood, cedar, cassis, black cherry, dark chocolate and roasted coffee. On the palate, it is extremely rich and mouth-coating and has a long finish of concentrated fruit and spice with a slight tannic grip. With proper cellaring, this wine should give drinking pleasure through 2033.

overpriced. solid but not spectacular. nice slow build. no false notes tho and the build is amazingly slow. but there's nothing at the end.
