WINEMAKER'S NOTE
91 points Josh Raynolds (IWC): Greenish gold. Complex bouquet of Meyer lemon, tangerine, pear and iodine, with a suave floral overlay. Juicy, mineral-driven citrus and orchard fruit flavors provide impressive palate coverage and carry no excess weight. Gains in richness with air and finishes with excellent clarity and mineral cut. This could pass for a Puligny. (5/09)

Wine & SpiritsThe 2008 Chardonnay Russian River reveals plenty of plush, opulent tropical fruit and marmalade characteristics in its medium-bodied, fleshy personality. It will drink well for 2-3 years. Readers looking for wines packed with flavor as well as personality can do no better than uber-consultant Paul Hobbs' line-up of Chardonnays, Pinot Noirs, and Syrahs. All of his bottled wines showed even stronger than they did from barrel tastings.
