This is a classic Aussie Cabernet with an intense varietal nose and delicious ripe fruit. This wine is named after Sparky who put himself through winemaking college as a left-handed Maitre D'. Inky ruby. Powerful aromas of dark cherry liqueur, chocolate, dill and vanilla, with a hint of pipe tobacco; like a parody of cabernet. Solid, chewy cherry and dark berry flavors are firmed by dusty tannins, with a sweet vanilla note gaining strength with air. The tannins keep things in line on the finish, which is creamy, sweet and clinging. Drinks far easier than any Mollydooker in my recent experience.
