MickGood. Wonderful herbal and fruit nose. Smooth wine with a medium finish. It lacks the spice and herbal punch of many Rhone GSM's, but it is an easy drink big time butter bread and oak with minor fruitiness on the nose. some light fruit on the palette followed by lots of oak and acid, a very spicy wine. it finished with some nice tannins and some stinky earth. old world style, probably not the wine for the new world fruit bombie people. i liked this wine. the color was nice and dark and the price was right at 11.00. the longer it sat the more the alcohol toned down.
