WINEMAKER'S NOTE
Wine Advocate Review Rated 90 There are 18,000 cases of the delightful 2007 Las Rocas Garnacha, a wine sourced from Calatayud vineyards ranging in age from 70 to 100 years. Dark ruby in color, it delivers alluring aromas of spice box, mineral, cherry, and black raspberry. Layered on the palate, it has superb depth, succulent flavors, and a pure, lengthy finish. It will provide pleasure over the next three years.
User Tasting Note
-
mick.whiteExcellent Garnacha is superbly layered on the tongue with a wonderful depth of alluring palate. Cherries, black raspberries, spice box, with a hint of mineral and a light finish of cherry and weighty oak make for an overall full-bodied wine that will keep a spot in the cellar.
-
Fellow Drync'rRuby red in color. Soft on the palate and very fruity but tart. No astringency on the aromatics. Long finish - maybe too long.
