Straightforward ripe-cherry fruit sets this bottling on solid varietal ground, and, if not one of the more complex offerings in these pages, the wine is sweetened by a nice touch of oak and shows good weight and balance. It should develop further with a few years in the bottle, but it will also make for friendly drinking in the shorter term.
