Dark purple and opaque with pink rim. This is quite fragrant with dark fruits: black cherries, cassis, blueberries, and blackberries. Tastes if the same with low tannins and acids. Despite the fruit nose, not a fruit bomb or high in sugar. Medium-low alcohol and well integrated. Very nice now but could benefit from a few years of cellaring. Pair with heavily flavored dishes: coq a vin, steak with pepper sauce, grilled meats.
